Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students in a virtual classroom setting. This role will allow you to make a meaningful impact by bridging communication gaps and ensuring students have access to the education they deserve.

This is a 1099 contract position that offers flexibility and the ability to work from the comfort of your home.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide real-time, high-quality sign language interpretation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in a virtual learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to understand and meet the specific communication needs of students.
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
Adapt your interpretation style to support the unique needs of each student.
Use our online platform to manage schedules, assignments, and communications.

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid Sign Language Interpreter license in Alabama.
At least 2 years of experience as a sign language interpreter in educational settings.
Comfortable using virtual interpreting technologies and platforms.
