Our client is actively seeking an experienced Remote Psychiatrist to support their busy outpatient facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Evaluation & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for new and ongoing patients including assessments of mental health symptoms personal history and current wellbeing.
  • Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the latest psychiatric best practices and patient needs.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications providing ongoing adjustments and monitoring side effects as necessary.
  • Therapeutic Support: Offer counseling and therapeutic support through telehealth platforms including guidance on coping strategies behavioral health interventions and crisis management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with primary care physicians therapists and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate uptodate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices (HIPAA confidentiality etc.).
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions treatment options and lifestyle changes to improve overall health.
  • Telehealth Support: Provide virtual care using secure telehealth technologies maintaining a professional and empathetic approach during video or phone consultations.
  • FollowUp: Provide ongoing followup care and support to monitor patient progress adjust treatment plans and address any emerging concerns or changes in the patient s condition.


Requirements

  • Education: MD or DO in Psychiatry from an accredited medical school.
  • Board: Boardcertified or boardeligible psychiatrist with an active license to practice in Texas.
  • Experience: Minimum of 23 years of experience providing outpatient psychiatric care (telehealth experience is a plus).
  • Telehealth Proficiency: Comfortable using telemedicine platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems to provide remote care.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with patients effectively through virtual platforms.
  • Empathy & Compassion: Ability to build trust and rapport with patients in a remote setting providing emotional support and clinical guidance.
  • Knowledge of Psychiatric Disorders: Expertise in diagnosing and treating a range of psychiatric conditions including depression anxiety ADHD bipolar disorder PTSD and others.
  • Cultural Competency: Understanding of and sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences in treating patients from various communities.
  • Commitment to Excellence: Strong commitment to providing highquality evidencebased care and staying updated on the latest research and treatment options in psychiatry.
  • Fellowship or Specialty Training in areas like addiction psychiatry geriatric psychiatry or child/adolescent psychiatry is a plus.
  • Experience with Digital Health Tools: Familiarity with virtual care technologies and platforms that enhance the telehealth experience.
