Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A) Purpose: - Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A) who will be a key support to the Accounting Team and Financial, Planning and Analysis Team responsible for managing a broad range of very complex and complicated accounting and financial tasks. This role will be in Virginia Beach, VA .
Job Description - Review and manage input of corrections requested by operations.
- Review and record weekly time sheet corrections.
- Review project set up in Costpoint.
- Prepare and review:
- Monthly Contract Review
- Monthly Financial Reports
- Annual Operating Plan (Budget)
- Assist w/ Financial Forecasts, as needed, throughout the year
- Develop process and reports for monthly review of rates for accurate revenue calculations.
- Assist in the preparation of Schedule I's and other schedules as needed for the annual Incurred Cost Submission.
- Support and assist with external/internal audit requests including DCAA, year-end and other audits as needed.
- Provide financial and regulatory reports as required by law, regulations, and company.
- Ensure compliance with internal company procedures and government regulations.
- Prepare and review projects for close outs and final invoices/revenue adjustments/unbilled.
- Compare, contrast, and combine information to determine underlying issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Must have a BA in Accounting/Finance and at least 3 years of professional experience.
- Must have experience with Deltek Cost Point and Government contracting.
- Must have a strong financial analytical ability accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance principles - understanding of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow dynamics.
- Must be able to manage many projects simultaneously and prioritize workload appropriately.
- Must have the ability to accumulate, organize and manipulate quantitative data to identify and explain trends, problems, and their causes.
- Must have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the company.
- Must be able to take initiative and independence of action in performing the responsibilities of the position and have strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must have the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and a changing business environment and maintain confidential information.
Desired Qualifications: - Prefer at least 5 years of professional experience.
- CPA/MBA preferred.
Security Requirements: Travel Requirements: Physical Requirements: - Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate common business machines.
- Filing in an upright position.
- Maximum lifting required is approximately 40 pounds from floor to three feet in height.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per hour
