Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with organizational goals, values, and culture.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on all human resources and organizational development matters.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, fostering a workplace where all employees feel valued and supported.
Talent Management
Oversee recruitment, retention, and succession planning efforts to attract and retain top talent.
Design and execute employee development, performance management, and succession planning strategies that align with the organization's objectives.
Foster a high-performance culture through engagement programs that drive productivity, satisfaction, and growth.
Compensation and Benefits
Lead the design and management of competitive compensation, benefits, and incentive programs that align with market trends and organizational goals.
Ensure fair and equitable compensation structures that reflect the financial health of the organization.
Create recognition programs that celebrate individual and team achievements.
Culture and Employee Engagement
Develop and promote a values-driven culture that supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization.
Regularly assess and improve employee engagement strategies through feedback and data to enhance organizational climate and retention.
Advocate for employee wellness initiatives, including mental health support, work-life balance, and flexible work arrangements.
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that are communicated and adhered to across the organization.
Lead efforts to maintain a safe and compliant work environment, addressing potential risks related to employment practices.
HR Technology and Systems
Utilize HR technology to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency, including performance management, talent acquisition, and employee data management.
Leverage HR analytics to drive informed decision-making and organizational development strategies.
Budget and Resource Management
Manage the annual HR budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet strategic priorities.
Optimize HR team structure and resources to enhance performance and service delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred).
A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (experience in a financial services or credit union environment is ideal).
Strong understanding of organizational development, change management, and financial services regulations.
Proven track record in driving organizational transformation and implementing strategic initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
