Job Summary  

The Yoga Instructor is responsible for designing and implementing group yoga classes, performing a mild to moderate session that leads students through exercises that help improve strength, flexibility, and balance. Assists all guests with proper techniques and mind-body yoga connection, providing motivation to ensure achievement of personal wellness goals. Effectively communicates with guests to understand their needs and areas of concern, while maintaining a high level of customer service standards.

A little bit about your day:

• Adhere to The Regent Hotel’s philosophy, policies, and procedures.
• Anticipate guest needs and uphold The Regents service standards for guest service, including FORBES 5 Diamond criteria.
• Interact cooperatively and professionally with hotel guests, hotel staff and spa staff, demonstrating respect, sensitivity, and attentiveness, following all company guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of all group fitness class schedules and class descriptions. 
• Comply with and maintain safety, sanitation, and disinfection standards, properly clean and sanitize products, rooms, tools, and equipment, and follow State Governing Boards' requirements and guidelines.
• Ensure the fitness space and music levels are correctly set and maintained. 
• Ensure guests practice safety during exercise sessions. 
• Ensure guests’ safety in wet areas by removing standing water and reporting unsafe equipment.
• Understand emergency procedures and accident prevention policies.
• Communicate guest complaints or any maintenance issues to Spa Management. 

What we need from you:

• Must have a Registered Yoga Teacher of 200 or 500 through Yoga Alliance or equivalent.
• Familiarity with the local yoga community and ability to attract and retain a dedicated student following.
• Skilled in using social media to promote classes, connect with students, and enhance community engagement.
• Must be polished, professional, and have a strong command of both written and verbal English.
• CPR and First Aid certified.

What you can expect from us:

The hourly pay range for this role is $50.00 - $70.00 . This rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed at  Regent Santa Monica Beach . This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. A colleague’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
