Are you a skilled UAV pilot with a passion for training and operational excellence? We are seeking a Senior UAV Pilot/Instructor to play a pivotal role in operating and supporting the Vanilla UAS. This position offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to oversee ground and flight operations, both stateside and overseas, while providing expert technical support and training for new UAV pilots.

Key Responsibilities:
Mission Planning: Develop and execute detailed flight operation plans tailored to customer-specific requirements.
Flight Operations: Conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks to ensure smooth and secure UAV operations.
Remote Piloting: Pilot the UAS remotely, adhering to designated flight plans and adjusting as needed to achieve mission objectives.
Training Delivery: Provide comprehensive training programs to new UAV pilots, emphasizing safety protocols, operational standards, and best practices.
International Deployment: Support flight operations outside the continental United States for up to four
(4) months as required.
Customer Engagement: Perform flight demonstrations for customers in remote locations to showcase capabilities.
Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maximize mission readiness and minimize downtime.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all flight operations comply with FAA regulations and safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Unmanned Systems or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Flight Experience:
Minimum of 500 hours as a Pilot in Command.
Experience with Vigilant Spirit and Quattro FMS is required.
Security Clearance:
Must hold and maintain a DoD Secret-level security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret-level clearance.
Medical Certification:
Able to obtain an FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
Travel Flexibility:
Willing to travel up to 100% within and outside the continental United States (CONUS and OCONUS).
Operational Skills:
Comfortable operating UAS in a variety of weather and lighting conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or specialized training in aviation, engineering, or a related field.
Experience in research and development or writing technical publications.
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
Private Pilot License.
Hands-on experience with deployed UAS Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, move, and handle items weighing up to 100 pounds, such as ladders, tools, air tanks, and testing equipment.
Comfortable working at heights, including climbing ladders.
Ability to distinguish differences in wire cable colors.
Must meet the physical demands of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
