“Truss” is an architectural feature and the Restaurant and Bar will consist of indoor and outdoor dining. The open outdoor terrace overlooks the Four Seasons Resorts and Residences' 23-acre property.

An essential among Napa Valley's legendary dining experiences, Truss celebrates the freshest cuisine. Start in the living room with our wine and cocktail bar. Learn something new at our interactive chef's table. Or dine on the terrace for an elevated view of the vineyards and Palisades Mountains.

The Position/Role

The Truss Server is an essential member of the team. They will be a part of a team responsible for putting Truss Restaurant and Bar on the map. Servers will be responsible for creating a memorable dining experience for guests. The Truss Server will be providing exceptional and anticipatory service to guests, be knowledgeable of the menu and preparation methods. The Truss Server will respond to all interactions in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and attend to guest needs and requests with a sense of urgency in the Resort's Food & Beverage areas.

Responsibilities

• Take guest orders and describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item's, origin, taste, and preparation methods.

• Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel's point-of-sales system; coordinate food and beverage timings.

• Check completed kitchen orders with the guest's original order and transport items to the guest table or lounge chair in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.

• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.

• Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.

• Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations.

• Plate, prepare and serve food.

• Take Guest reservations.

• Assist with set-up and breakdown of tables.

• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management.

• Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed.

• Comply with Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.

• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

Who You Are

• High School education or equivalent experience.

• Minimum two years' food service or related work.

• Knowledge of Napa Valley and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not required.

• Preferred experience in a luxury hotel or resort and fine dining environment.

• Must be flexible with schedule- Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.

• Ability to carry and balance a tray. Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions.

• Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.

• Strong computer skills.

• Strong problem solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests.

• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
