Key Responsibilities
Client Service Delivery: Collaborate with Managers and Directors to provide comprehensive tax services across various industries.
Tax Compliance & Preparation: Oversee full-cycle, in-house tax preparation and review corporate and withholding tax returns to ensure accuracy and timely filing.
Tax Computations & Advisory: Prepare corporate tax computations, advise clients on liabilities and disclosures, and conduct tax due diligence and health checks.
Compliance Reviews: Perform in-depth reviews of corporate taxation, employment taxes, customs and excise, and VAT to ensure compliance with tax laws.
Tax Provisions: Prepare and review quarterly/annual tax provisions, true-ups, deferred tax asset valuations, and intercompany tax allocations.
Tax Planning & Research: Manage sales/use tax planning, assess the tax impact of business operations and acquisitions, and conduct technical research on tax-related issues.
Audit Representation: Handle tax notices and represent the company during tax audits.
Collaboration & Coordination: Work with external consultants on areas such as transfer pricing, R&D credits, and other specialized tax areas.
Must-Have Qualifications
Experience: At least 8 years of progressive corporate tax experience in multinational consolidated tax compliance and financial reporting, with a preference for Big 4 public accounting or industry backgrounds.
Expertise: Strong knowledge in domestic income tax, compliance tax, provisional tax, and in-house tax preparation.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Thomson Reuters OneSource corporate tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation; CPA designation preferred.
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with OneSource tax software.
Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Experience with tax-related audits and R&D credit calculations.
