Expert Staffing West is seeking a Desktop Repair Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and testing desktop computers and their components. A strong understanding of motherboards and the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues at the component level is essential. This role involves repair, testing, and auditing of desktop systems, ensuring all parts are functioning correctly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair desktop computer hardware, including motherboards, processors, RAM, power supplies, and other components.
• Perform detailed testing of desktop systems to identify and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Conduct quality audits of desktop computers, ensuring all parts are functioning correctly and meet required standards.
• Replace faulty components and ensure proper installation and functionality of new parts.
• Maintain an organized workstation and ensure all tools and equipment are in working order.
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure timely completion of repairs and audits.
• Keep accurate records of repairs, testing results, and audits performed.
• Provide technical support to other team members when necessary.
• Stay updated on the latest desktop hardware trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in desktop repair and hardware testing.
• Strong knowledge of motherboard components and their functions.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Certification in IT repair or relevant field is a plus (e.g., CompTIA A+).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
