MAU is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst in Augusta, GA. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will actively maintain financial records, prepare financial reports, develop budgets, and conduct income and expense variance analysis.

Required Education and Experience- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in P&L and budget analysis, month-end close processes, journal entry preparation, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Experience in the staffing industry is a plus.
- An MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
General Requirements- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with all levels of management.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
- Proven ability to complete projects accurately and on time (critical).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint.
- Experience with accounting software, preferably Dynamics/Great Plains.
- Familiarity with FP&A software, including system administration experience with tools such as Vena, Hyperion, or TM1.
- Preferred experience with business intelligence software, such as DOMO.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while working collaboratively with others.
Essential Functions- Prepare and analyze monthly financial expenses and revenues for assigned cost centers, comparing them against budgets and prior years.
- Provide financial recommendations to P&L owners to enhance business performance.
- Support, review, and audit assigned cost centers to ensure accurate month-end financial statements, including making necessary adjusting journal entries.
- Assist the Business Development team in creating pricing models for multimillion-dollar client proposals.
- Track financial interactions with customers, employees, and temporary staff, reviewing trends with management.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and input them into the general ledger.
- Maintain reporting systems to collect and generate relevant financial information.
- Assist in preparing annual financial information for external auditors.
- Create monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial data for Division Managers and Senior Management.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Participate in finance and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
- Drive and implement strategic initiatives set by Senior Management.
- Assist with financial planning and capital investment initiatives.
- Prepare cash forecasts to support future cash planning for acquisitions and distributions.
- Evaluate acquisition proposals and provide analytical support.
- Monitor fixed assets and manage monthly depreciation.
- Oversee procurement activities for MAU, ensuring alignment with suppliers.
