Project Accountant

Location: Ladson, SC

Salary: $62k-$75k first year base + Benefits

Position Overview

Due to our consistent growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant for our Charleston area office. This Accountant will work closely with Project Managers, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes and compliance with company/government policies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in project financial management, including budgeting, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project financial transactions and ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
• Prepare and review project invoices and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure compliance with project budgets and financial policies.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and forecasts for project status.
• Ensure timely processing of change orders, certificates of insurance, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
• Maintain subcontractor job set-up list.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or 3+ years professional experience
• Proven experience in accounting.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with construction accounting is preferred.
• Experience with software such as Sage and Procore is preferred.
• Knowledge of compliance regulations and project documentation requirements.
