*Job Title: Program Director**
**Summary:**
Join our dynamic team and lead the coordination of activities for personnel involved in creating radio or television station program schedules and programs, including sports and news. **Duties:**
- Plan and schedule programming and event coverage, considering broadcast length, time availability, community needs, ratings data, and viewer demographics.
- Monitor and review programming to ensure schedules are met, guidelines are followed, and performances are of high quality.
- Direct and coordinate activities of personnel involved in broadcast news, sports, or programming.
- Verify completed program logs for accuracy and compliance with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules and regulations, resolving any inaccuracies.
- Establish work schedules and assign tasks to staff members.
- Coordinate activities between departments, such as news and programming.
- Perform personnel duties, including hiring staff and evaluating work performance.
- Assess new and existing programming for suitability and the need for changes using audience surveys and feedback.
- Develop and monitor budgets for programming and broadcasting activities to ensure they remain within budgetary limits.
- Confer with directors and production staff to discuss production, casting, budgets, policies, and news coverage.
- Select, acquire, and maintain programs, music, films, and other materials, obtaining necessary legal clearances.
- Monitor network transmissions for advisories on daily program schedules, content, special feeds, or program changes.
- Develop promotions for current programs and specials.
- Prepare and edit tape for broadcasting.
- Generate ideas for programs and features that the station could produce.
- Participate in planning and executing fundraising activities.
- Review and provide accurate information about programs and schedules to local media outlets.
- Read news, public service announcements, or perform other on-air duties.
- Operate and maintain on-air and production audio equipment.
- Direct the setup of remote facilities and install or cancel programs at remote stations.
- Cue announcers, actors, performers, and guests.
- Conduct interviews for broadcasts.
- Act as a liaison between talent and directors, providing necessary information to performers or guests and communicating relevant information to directors.

- Direct productions or performances.
- Interview others for news or entertainment purposes.
- Coordinate logistics for productions or events.
**Nice to Haves:**
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop
- Experience with Apple Final Cut Pro
- Familiarity with Facebook and FileMaker Pro
- Knowledge of HTML
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Understanding of audio signal processors
- Familiarity with Avid Technology iNEWS and Broadcast Electronics AudioVAULT FleX
- Experience with content management systems (CMS)
- Proficiency in using desktop computers and digital audio recorders
- Experience with email software and emergency alert system (EAS) equipment
- Familiarity with emergency communications scanners and laser facsimile machines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Word
- Experience with multi-line telephone systems
- Knowledge of music scheduling software
- Proficiency in using personal computers and tablet computers
- Familiarity with RCS GSelector and scheduling databases
- Experience with sound mixing consoles
- Proficiency in using web browser software
