POSITION SUMMARY: This part-time librarian position reports to the Assistant University Librarian for Teaching, Research, and Engagement. Provides face-to-face and online research assistance to students, faculty, and staff. Provides instruction sessions and one-on-one assistance with EndNote citation management software and Covidence software. Develops and maintains online research guides as assigned. May serve on library committees as assigned. Works 21 hours weekly. Schedule may include some evenings and weekends. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides research assistance in accordance with the library?s mission and user service guidelines.

Provides instruction and assistance with citation management and Covidence software.

Works collaboratively with faculty and other librarians to create online research guides and tutorials.

Provides instruction through individual consultations, classes, and online presentations.

Serves the library through participation in committees and task forces as assigned.

Completes other duties as assigned.

M.L.S. or M.L.I.S. from an American Library Association accredited institution.

Experience answering reference questions.

Effective instructional skills including the ability to develop instructional videos and tutorials.

Effective interpersonal, organizational, analytical, written, and oral communication skills

Ability to work effectively with diverse user groups including students, faculty, staff, and other library users.

Ability to work in a collaborative work environment and maintain positive professional working relationships with disciplinary faculty members, supervisors, and peers.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience using EndNote or other citation management software.

Experience creating online research guides and tutorials.

Educational background or experience working in STEM or Health Science.

Master?s degree from an accredited institution in an academic discipline.
