Non-Emergency Transporters Job Description.
Transporting non-Emergency ambulatory, wheelchairs, and stretchers patients to doctor's offices, dialysis, home, and many other medical appointments including discharges from the hospitals and inter-facility transfers. All ground transport in company-owned vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate wheelchair/Gurney van
Load, unload, secure and transport patients safely to the destination
Properly track and fill out all paperwork
Report dispatching with changes, issues, or incidents
Inspect and clean the van before and after the trip.
Qualifications:
Must be 23 years or older (No Exception) Due to insurance requirements.
Valid California driver's license for a minimum of 2 years and clean driving record.
Must have CA DMV K-4 print-out
At least 5 years with a clean background
Must pass the pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
Any medical background experience will be considered first.
Job duties include
Transporting patients in Wheelchairs and Stretchers.
Keeping vehicles clean, organized, and washed.
Filling out paperwork used to bill for trips, trip logs, and invoices for transport.
Delivers superior customer service.
Able to operate a cell phone, read a map, use GPS equipment, and accurately plan a route.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Professional demeanor.
Able to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact.
Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures.
Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations
Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Able to lift, operate, and maneuver company equipment weighed down with a customer, in compliance with the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
Pass the pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Be a current First Aid and CPR training certificate.
Education: High school diploma/GED.
Experienced: Minimum 1 year in similar position preferred

Tuesday through Friday 02:30 am to aprox 1:00pm, Saturdays 2:30am to aprox 5:00pm.
Drivers for Gurneys, Days and hours vary depending on trips.
Porterville, CA
Gurney driver, Monday through Saturday 2:30 am to aprox 4:00pm.
Monday through Saturday 12:00pm to aprox 06:30pm.
Visalia, CA
Monday through Saturday 06:30am to aprox 02:00pm.
M-06:30am to 5:30pm, T- 02:20am to 1:30pm, W- 06:30am to 5:30pm, TH- OFF, F- 02:30am to 2:00pm, SAT- 02:20am to 2:00pm. SUN- OFF
Modesto, CA
Monday through Saturday 4:00am to aprox 12:00pm.
Monday through Saturday 12:00pm to aprox 7:30pm.
Experience:
Van Driver: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
CA Driver's License (Required) for a minimum of 2 years.
