Rex Glass is the largest and most professional residential glass and glazing company in Pittsburgh. We're in immediate need of talented craftsmen to join our team. We have an apprenticeship program and we'll help you develop your skills. Same-day offers were made following the interview. Compensation

• Pay starts at $18/hour for new recruits and increases as you advance to the apprentice level and then to the rank of glazier and beyond
• Forty hours of regular work each week is guaranteed. Overtime is readily available and needed

Responsibilities:

• Apprentice glaziers assist more experienced glaziers with field installations or shop fabrications
• Glaziers measure, fabricate, and install glass shower enclosures, mirrors, railing systems, aluminum storefronts, and other glass products
• Glaziers are required to interface with customers, troubleshoot, and problem-solve
• Glazier uses carpentry skills to create beautiful finished products

Qualifications:

• Candidates must possess a minimum level of mechanic aptitude that includes the ability to read a tape measure, use hand tools, and understand written and verbal instructions
• The job requires adding and subtracting fractions to determine glass sizes and opening sizes
• Candidates must be able to carry up to 80lbs
• Applicants must have a valid driver's license and must be able to drive a vehicle
• Applicants must be able to pass a drug test
• Applicants must be willing to work hard and work overtime (a few hours a week when necessary)
