Director of Business Development - Construction

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to join our client's team and lead efforts you must have public work experience with projects in 1 of the following sectors: government, higher education, or K-12.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leverage your existing industry relationships to drive business development initiatives and secure projects.
* Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to craft compelling RFQs, including content creation as needed.
* Strategize and lead efforts on public and private bid processes, including Design-Build and CM at Risk projects.
* Maintain client relationships and represent the company at industry and trade events.
* Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities, focusing on high-value construction projects.

What We're Looking For:

* Established Network: Already entrenched in the K-12, community college, or higher education construction sectors in NC.
* Leadership Ready: Experience working under a BD leader at a large firm and now ready to lead your own efforts.
* Construction Expertise: Preferably from a contracting background, with familiarity in estimating or project management.
* Competitive Edge: Relentless and driven to win, with a strategic and solutions-focused mindset.
* Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Suite, CRM tools, and Adobe InDesign (preferred).
