We're a leading manufacturer of premium raw pet food, and we're looking for a passionate Buyer to join our growing team! In this role, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our furry friends have access to the highest quality ingredients.

What You'll Do:

Source the good stuff: Find and purchase all the raw materials needed for our delicious pet food recipes, from meat and poultry to vitamins and packaging.
Become a supplier whisperer: Develop strong relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and the best possible prices. Travel to industry conferences is included!
Quality hawk: Make sure all our ingredients meet our strict quality standards.
Order up! Generate purchase orders accurately and efficiently to keep production running smoothly.
Team player: Collaborate with our production, quality assurance, and finance teams to keep everything in sync.
Data whiz: Analyze data to identify trends, find cost-saving opportunities, and improve our procurement processes.
Stay compliant: Ensure all our purchasing practices adhere to regulations.

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or inventory management, ideally in the food manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation skills to get the best deals for our pet food.
Experience with inventory management systems and ERP software is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with all types of people.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus points if you have:

Experience finding and qualifying new suppliers.
A track record of negotiating favorable contracts with suppliers.
Knowledge of import/export regulations (if applicable).
